Recap of Los Angeles Premiere Screening and Party for ‘Jamie Marks Is Dead’

The premiere screening for Jamie Marks Is Dead was held at the Sundance Cinema on August 26th at 7:30pm. Though the crowd was very intimate, there was no one that left the theater in disappointment. There was no Q&A after the screening, though director Carter Smith held a premiere party at the Chateau Marmont Bungalow that promptly started at 9:15pm after the screening.

The best way to describe the premiere party for Jamie Marks Is Dead was eloquently spooky. The ambiance of the Chateau Marmont Bungalow was perfect giving off a secluded, intimate setting. After the leaving the screening the Spanish castle style hotel and bungalow was the perfect setting and fit the vibe of the party. All dressed in cocktail attire, there was boisterous conversation coming from inside the bungalow and from outside by the pool area. Among the attendees of the party, actress Judy Greer who portrays the character Lucy, the tragic new best friend of Live Tyler’s character Linda, actress Morgan Saylor our young Gracie and actor Noah Silver who portrays our mysterious Jamie “Moonie” Marks. Also found socializing through the party was director Carter Smith and producer Omri Bezalel. Overall there was a definite feeling of satisfaction and I am sure Carter Smith couldn’t be more proud of the success with the film.
