Three of the proposed stars of the film have official confirmed now and we have the full update here. We are happy to hear that now Noah Hathaway, Bill Oberst Jr. and Zach Galligan are all confirmed for the project which is great news. These three iconic talents will surely help bring the Alterna Comics tale to life so read on for the full details and we are sure more announcements are on the way!
Alterna confirms that Zach Galligan (Gremlins), Noah Hathaway (NeverEnding Story), and Bill Oberst Jr. (Criminal Minds) have confirmed their roles in the upcoming prison horror/thriller THE CHAIR. Galligan and Hathaway will both be playing prison guards in the film which centers around an innocent man on death row and the psychotic and sadistic Warden (played by Bill Oberst Jr.) that runs the prison.
Peter Simeti, the executive Producer and creator of the graphic novel which the film will be based on, had this to say about his experience casting the film, “I couldn’t be happier with the actors we have on board. Zach and Noah are both icons in their own right and Bill is a powerhouse actor that will bring his tremendous presence to this film. I think people are really going to enjoy it.”
Zach Galligan is best known for his role as Billy Peltzer in Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Noah Hathaway is best known to audiences for his roles in Battlestar Galactica, NeverEnding Story, and Troll. Both actors are celebrating 30 year anniversaries of some of their most well-known works (Gremlins and NeverEnding story). Bill Oberst Jr. is an indie horror icon, starring in Circus of the Dead, Children of Sorrow, and the Daytime Emmy Award-winning interactive short Take this Lollipop.
