TFW2015 ‘Gutterballs 2: Balls Deep’ –movie review

Gutterballs 2: Balls Deep saw its premiere this past weekend at Texas Frightmare Weekend and I was able to sit in on one of the screenings.  If you’ve seen the first film, you know exactly what you’re going to get with the sequel: lots of gore, lots of violence, and plenty of titties.

I don’t think I need to go too much into a plot because, as you might expect, there isn’t really MUCH of a story and I don’t want to spoil anything.  I will say that BBK is back so there is plenty of awful stuff happening with fake wieners and sharpened bowling pins.  Directed by extreme horror filmmaker, Ryan Nicholson, G2 was released by his production company Plotdigger Films which is known for releasing exploitative horror films.

Gutterballs 2 really doesn’t waste any time and gets right to the action- it’s gory from start to finish and it’s all needless, gratuitous violence and nudity.  The acting isn’t the films strong suit but I’d bet money that’s not what people are going to be watching this film for.  Poor acting aside, the gore effects and the kills were pretty badass.  Just like the original, plenty of the kills in the sequel were creative and had me laughing “holy shit” throughout the entire film.

I will say that Gutterballs 2: Balls Deep is definitely not for everyone.  If you like horror films that toss story aside and focus on being as graphic and violent as possible, then absolutely, this is the film for you!

2/5
