One of the films we will be giving our thoughts on at the upcoming BLOOD IN THE SNOW festival is the Chad Archibald flick BITE. He and Black Fawn films have won best horror feature for the second year in a row at the Buffalo Dreams Fest this past weekend. They also snagged two more awards for their film involving a bride to be that unfortunately undergoes a horrific transformation. Last year they were given best feature for the THE DROWNSMAN and BITE sounds like it also will be well received from the horror community. Toronto. November 9, 2015. Like the best recurring dream ever: Black Fawn Films wins Best Horror Feature for the second year in a row at the 2015 Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Films Festival. After winning last year for The Drownsman, Chad Archibald won again this year for Bite. Additionally, Bite won the award this year for Best Special Makeup Effects, with the award going to artist Jason Derushie, and Black Fawn kicked off Buffalo Dreams when they were given the Dedication to Excellence in Indie Filmmaking.

Synopsis: Bite follows bride-to-be Casey (Elma Begovic) on her bachelorette party getaway. While partying, she gets a seemingly harmless bite from an unknown insect. After returning home with cold feet, Casey tries to call off her wedding, but before she’s able to, she starts exhibiting insect-like traits. Between her physical transformation and her wedding anxiety, Casey succumbs to her new instincts and begins creating a hive that not only houses her translucent eggs, but feeds on the flesh of others. As her transformation becomes complete, Casey discovers that everything can change with a single bite.
Directed by Chad Archibald (Neverlost, The Drownsman), written by Jayme Laforest (Gods of Accident) and stars Elma Begovic, Annette Wozniak, Denise Yuen, Jordan Gray and Lawrene Denkers.
