It was announced over the holiday that Archstone Distribution has acquired rights to the action packed thriller BLACKBURN. The film follows a group who is trapped in an old mine with a less than welcoming inhabitant and will be released on it’s Tombstone Distribution label.  The distribution company has released a new trailer for the film to see ahead and we should see BLACKBURN in the near future. The Lauro Chartrand feature has a great cast and should be on your horror radar!

Production company 3B Entertainment has announced that Archstone Distribution has acquired the rights for the action-packed horror movie Blackburn under its genre arm, Tombstone Distribution. In co-ordination with the signing, Archstone has released a second exciting trailer for the film; that clip can be found here.

Blackburn hosts an excellent, experienced group of actors. Ken Kirzinger (Freddy vs. Jason) has been cast in the role of Digits with Brad Loree (Halloween: Resurrection) in the role of 3Eyes. Also cast are horror genre veterans Lochlyn Munro (White Chicks) and Emilie Ullerup (A Little Bit Zombie), alongside Disney’s Calum Worthy (“Austin and Ally”), Sarah Lind (Wolf Cop), Zack Peledeau and Alexander Calvert.

Blackburn is set in a small Alaskan ghost-town with a horrifying history. A forest fire and rockslide have trapped five bickering college friends overnight. Seeking refuge inside the abandoned Blackburn Mine they must try to band together as they are mysteriously slaughtered one-by-one.

The film has been directed by Lauro Chartrand (Born to Raise Hell), and written by Nastasha Baron (Kingdoms of Grace). Chartrand says of the cast and the film’s crew:  “Blackburn has one of the strongest casts and crews that I’ve ever seen and I’ve worked on dozens and dozens of productions over the past 25 years. I am very excited to be directing such top talent and working with such a passionate crew.”
