Official poster for future cult classic ‘RAW’

One of the films that many filmmakers, critics and fans were raving about this year is the Julia Ducournau pic RAW. The world of vegetarians and meat eaters has never had more of a stark look than in this film. When one girl rebels from the ideals of her family it opens up whole other world for her. RAW is one of those films that defines a genre and is very appropriate for the over exposed climate we currently exist in. RAW will head to Sundance next month before hitting theaters in the spring. Check out the official poster of the film ahead and look for more updates in the near future.

From Focus World and first-time director Julia Ducournau – named one of Variety’s ‘10 Directors to Watch for 2017’ – comes RAW! The dark coming-of-age tale captivated audiences at Cannes, TIFF, London Film Festival, and Fantastic Fest earlier this year, and will continue wowing audiences when it screens at Sundance on January 22nd, before debuting in theaters on March 10th.

Everyone in Justine’s family is a vet. And a vegetarian. At sixteen she’s a brilliant student starting out at veterinary school where she experiences a decadent, merciless and dangerously seductive world. Desperate to fit in, she strays from her family principles and eats RAW meat for the first time. Justine will soon face the terrible and unexpected consequences as her true self begins to emerge…

Starring newcomers Garance Marillier, Ella Rumpf, and Rabah Nait Oufella, RAW hits select theaters March 10, 2017 and expands worldwide this Spring.
