Once again the kids of Crestview Academy are at it again. This time there may be more than meets the eye in the dismantling of the bunch. In the sequel based off the graphic novel, BAD KIDS OF CRESTVIEW ACADEMY once again fall prey to “accidents”. The Ben Browder film is just as hilarious as the first taking the gore level up a notch to provide a feel good slasher for every MTV generation out there.
In BAD KIDS OF CRESTVIEW ACADEMY we follow the story of another group of kids sent to detention that one by one gets picked off. One student in particular has a hidden agenda to pay back the others for something that happened in the past. There are flashbacks a plenty as the viewer tries to piece together this spiderweb of a tale. Regardless on how you feel about the overall story you can’t deny the utter violence and gore that travels through the film. BAD KIDS OF CRESTVIEW ACADEMY is a lot of fun and mirrors the awesome manga to film adaptations we usually see from our far east brothers and sisters.
BAD KIDS may not be for everyone as the more serious spectators may feel the movie is too childish or silly. If you pay attention to the series it seems to be the mo and that’s not a bad thing. Horror doesn’t have to make sense, sometimes it needs to just scare the crap out of you or keep you entertained BAD KIDS OF CRESTVIEW ACADEMY is the latter.
BAD KIDS OF CRESTVIEW ACADEMY is directed by Ben Browder and stars Drake Bell, Sean Astin, Gina Gershon, Sammi Hanratty and Ben Browder. It is now available on demand and in select theaters courtesy of Momentum Pictures.
