Argento heads to TFW for ‘Suspiria’ 40th Anniversary

Master of Horror Dario Argento is making his way to Texas. He will attend this year’s Texas Frightmare Weekend in celebration of 40 years for his classic SUSPIRIA. One of the few films to top most 100 best horror films of all time year after year SUSPIRIA redefines cult classic. His influence in horror is unmatched and this is guest appearance is quite the honor. He along with cast members Barbara Magnolfi and Stefania Casini will be in attendance.

Dario Argento is coming to TFW 2017 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of his masterpiece SUSPIRIA!

Argento is best known for his work in the horror film genre, particularly in the subgenre known as giallo, and for his vast influence on modern horror.

Argento got his major break when Sergio Leone allowed him to write the story for Once Upon a Time in the West. He later directed several classics in the genre like his first movie The Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Cat o’ Nine Tails, Four Flies on Grey Velvet, Deep Red, Tenebre, Suspiria, Phenomena, Inferno, Opera and many, many more. He’s an accomplished producer too as evident in Lamberto Bava’s Demons and Demons 2.

Magnolfi is perhaps best known as “Suzy’s” venomous college roommate Olga in Dario Argento’s terrifying horror cult classic Suspiria and the troubled main character in the lurid giallo The Sister of Ursula.

Making her first ever convention appearance please welcome Stefania Casini to TFW 2017! Stefania has worked with directors Pietro Germi, Bernardo Bertolucci, Peter Greenaway and Dario Argento.

With Argento she played the role of Sara in the landmark film Suspiria. She also appeared in the classic giallo The Bloodstained Shadow.
