Supernatural thriller ‘Winchester’ hits theaters next year


Next February CBS films will release the engaging looking supernatural thriller from Michael Spierig & Peter Spierig WINCHESTER. The film stars Helen Mirren and is based off the true story of Sarah Winchester. It’s a haunting tale that has been resurrected in many forms with this one being the closest to the true story to date. CBS announced the feature late last month and plan on releasing it to theaters on February 23rd , 2018. That gives us plenty of times to see a plethora of goodies from WINCHESTER including the first look GIF included in this article! Stay tuned for more updates in the near future!

Inspired by true events, WINCHESTER follows the story of firearm heiress Sarah Winchester (Helen Mirren), who was convinced that she was haunted by the souls killed at the hands of the Winchester Repeating Rifle. After the sudden deaths of her husband and child, she threw herself into the 24-hours a day, seven days a week construction of an enormous mansion designed to keep the evil spirits at bay. But when skeptical San Francisco psychiatrist Eric Price (Jason Clarke) is dispatched to the estate to evaluate her state of mind, he discovers that her obsession may not be so insane after all. The film will take audiences inside the labyrinth-like house that is believed to be one of the most haunted places in the world.


WINCHESTER is directed by Michael Spierig & Peter Spierig and stars Helen Mirren, Jason Clarke, Sarah Snook and Angus Sampson.
