From producers of THE STYLIST and GWILLIAM comes the new fantasy comedy short BFF GIRLS. Directed by Brian Lonano the short follows a group of American girls that transform to Japanese superheroes. The short will make its world premiere at the Boston Underground Film Festival next month followed by a few more screenings after. All the details are listed ahead including the trailer. From the producers of GWILLIAM and THE STYLIST comes the trailer for director Brian Lonano’s new short film, BFF GIRLS. This fantasy-comedy is about Rose, Lily and Violet; three dorky American girls magically transform into beautiful Japanese Superheroes and fight a tampon monster as they begin their journey into womanhood.
Coming into bloom this spring, BFF GIRLS is set to have its world premiere at the Boston Underground Film Festival, March 21-25. Then, will travel onto the Chattanooga Film Festival, April 5-8, where a lot of the cast and crew will be in attendance, including Lonano, Victoria Cook (co-writer), Jill Gevargizian (producer) and Blake Myers (producer, production designer). The film will also screen at the Florida Film Festival, April 6-15, as part of their wildly popular Midnight Shorts program.
Lonano is known for is fun, and rather gross, short films like GWILLIAM, CROW HAND, and THE TRANSMISSION. His work has screened all over the world, including SXSW, Slamdance, Fantastic Fest, Fantasia, winning countless awards.
