‘Downrange’ hit’s Shudder exclusively next month

DOWNRANGE

Not since TIFF last year have we had any updates to the flick from Ryuhei Kitamura DOWNRANGE. Well it was recently announced that the film will hit Shudder exclusively next month. DOWNRANGE follows a group of college kids on the road that are hit with foul play. Shudder plans on releasing the film on April 26th. If you still don’t have Shudder what are you waiting for? More and more features like DOWNRANGE will make their way to the streaming channel and also ahead we will let you know what else is in store for April.

Six college students are carpooling cross-country when one of their tires blows out on a desolate stretch of country road. Getting out to fix the flat, they quickly discover that this was no accident. The tire was shot out. With their vehicle incapacitated, the group is pinned down and mercilessly attacked by an unseen assailant as they desperately attempt to find a way to escape.

DOWNRANGE is the terrifying, dark new thriller from acclaimed genre director Ryuhei Kitamura (The Midnight Meat Train, Versus, Godzilla: Final Wars). Produced by Kitamura and ELEVEN ARTS’ Ko Mori (Lords of Chaos, Man From Reno), the film is executive produced by Taro Maki (In This Corner of the World). The screenplay is by Joey O’Bryan (Motorway, Fulltime Killer), with story by O’Bryan and Kitamura.

DOWNRANGE stars newcomer Kelly Connaire, Stephanie Pearson (Insidious: Chapter 2), Rod Hernandez-Farella, Anthony Kirlew, Alexa Yeames (The CW’s The Originals), and Jason Tobias (ABC Television’s Notorious).

In addition to Ryuhei Kitamura’s Downrange, April on Shudder brings the debut of a truly killer new limited series, as well a brand new initiative, the Shudder Livewatch.

4/12: BORN TO KILL: A SHUDDER LIMITED SERIES  – Sam is embarking on his first romance with fellow teenager Chrissy, who’s moved to the area after family turmoil of her own. His family and friends have no idea what he is capable of. Only his victims know the chilling truth. And they’re not talking any more.

BORN TO KILL features a terrific lead performance from Peaky Blinders’s Jack Rowan and a stunning, moody look.
